How we make money
We're an independent local guide, not a casino. One paid link brings in our income, and only the home page carries it.

One link, one page
The home page carries a link to an online casino partner. You'll find it in two spots there: the button in the header and the box in the section on playing online. Both are marked Ad.
If you open an account through that link, the partner pays us a commission. That's how the site earns money, and it's the only way.
No other page carries a paid link. On every other page, the same spot in the header holds a plain link to our guide to online casinos in Alberta. Nobody pays for that one.
Who the partner is
The link opens our partner's online casino. The partner can change over time. That's why this page doesn't name one.
The casino's own site shows its name. You can look that name up in the Alberta iGaming Corporation's directory of registered sites. Our guide to online casinos in Alberta shows how.
The link is meant for adults 18 and over.
Rules that come with the link
Alberta law says anyone who advertises an online gambling site must follow the provincial regulations and AGLC's standards. Such ads must be truthful, must not mislead and must not be aimed at minors.
The home page box with the paid link shows:
- the label Ad, so you know which link pays us;
- the age limit, 18+;
- a reminder to play responsibly, with 211 Alberta for free help, 24/7.
The home page questions and the site footer explain the paid link too.
Links that are never paid
We earn nothing from links to:
- the official websites of the eight casinos in this guide;
- regulators, including AGLC and the Alberta iGaming Corporation;
- Play Alberta;
- help lines and support services, such as 211 Alberta, the Addiction Helpline and selfexclusion.ca.
The casinos don't pay us either. The planner on the home page lists open casinos first, then sorts them by distance from the area you pick. No casino can pay to move up that list.
Questions
Are you a casino?
No, we're an independent local guide. We don't take bets, hold accounts or process payments.
Which casino does the paid link open?
It opens our partner's online casino. The partner can change over time, so we don't name it here. The casino's own site shows its name.
Why is the paid link only on the home page?
So the rest of the site stays a plain local guide. The casino guides, the help pages and our page on playing online carry no paid links at all.
