Century Casino in St. Albert

Getting there from Edmonton

St. Albert is a separate city north-west of Edmonton, with its own bus service, St. Albert Transit (StAT). If you drive, parking is in surface lots around the building, with about 585 spaces.

By transit, take StAT Route 201 from MacEwan University or downtown Edmonton to Nakî Transit Centre, 15520 Campbell Road. Nakî is on the other side of Anthony Henday Drive, about 2.6 km from the casino in a straight line. The last stretch takes a local bus, a taxi or a long walk.

Local StAT buses into Campbell Business Park run on weekdays only and not late at night. A StAT stop at Boudreau Road and Curial Drive is about 100 metres from the casino. Check the StAT weekday schedules before you rely on them.

Sundays need extra planning. On the fall 2026 Sunday timetable, the last Route 201 trip leaves MacEwan at 7:20 p.m. and reaches Nakî at 7:45 p.m. If you plan to stay into the evening, line up a taxi or a ride home before you go.

Century St. Albert has no hotel. At the end of 2025 the floor held 432 slot and electronic gaming machines, VLTs included, and 10 tables.

There is an off-track betting parlour for horse racing. For food and drink there is a restaurant, a bar, and a sports bar and lounge, plus a banquet facility.

The loyalty card is Winner's Edge, the same as at Century Edmonton. That one also has showrooms and a hotel.

From Apex Casino to Century

The casino has been at this address since 1994. It was the Apex Casino until Century took over on October 1, 2016. Earlier, it was also known as the McPherson Casino and the Gold Dust Casino.

The building had a major renovation in 2010. Century carried out renovations in 2024 and exterior renovations in 2025.

Things to do nearby in St. Albert

St. Albert was founded in 1861, and it is the oldest non-fortified community in Alberta. These sights are a few kilometres from the casino at most, measured in a straight line.

• Servus Credit Union Place: about 1 km away, a large recreation complex with the Bright Dental Aquatic Centre, ice surfaces and two field houses. It is open daily until 9:30 p.m.
• Father Lacombe Chapel: about 4 km away on Mission Hill. Built in 1861, it is generally considered the oldest surviving building in Alberta.
• St. Albert Botanic Park: about 2.6 km away, a five-acre garden with free entry. Parking at the gardens is minimal.
• St. Albert Farmers' Market: about 3.7 km away, at St. Albert Place downtown. It runs on summer Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with over 250 vendors and food trucks. Dates change each year.
