PURE Casino Edmonton and what's inside
PURE Casino Edmonton is on Argyll Road, and its slots and poker room never close. Bus route 504 stops a short walk away, but transit here ends long before the night does.

Getting there by bus and train
The nearest regular bus is ETS route 504, which links Meadows and Davies transit centres. It stops at 71 Street and 72 Avenue, about a five-minute walk from the casino.
At Davies, the 504 meets the Valley Line LRT. On weekdays it runs from 5:30 a.m., every 30 minutes at rush hour and hourly at midday. On weekends it comes hourly, from about 7:40 a.m. until 7:40 p.m. on Saturday and 6:40 p.m. on Sunday.
The closest LRT stops, Avonmore and Davies, are each about 1.2 to 1.3 km away in a straight line. From Davies, the 504 covers the last stretch.
Leaving late

Late-night transit here is thin. Route 504 has no late service, and its last weekday trip leaves Davies at 9:17 p.m. Valley Line trains at Davies run until about 1:10 to 1:30 a.m. from Monday to Saturday, and about 12:50 a.m. on Sunday. After that, plan on a taxi, a rideshare or your own car, and sort out the ride home before you go.
Poker, tables and live music
The 12-table poker room is open 24 hours. It deals Texas Hold'em and Omaha as limit, no-limit and tournament games, and it has its own food menu.
Live tables run from 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. Blackjack comes in Free Bet and Double Down Madness versions, alongside craps, roulette, baccarat and Face Up Pai Gow. A renovated high-limit room has private baccarat. The VLTs keep their own hours, 9 a.m. to 4 a.m.
The floor covers 72,000 square feet, with over 800 slot machines. The Social Room has a full stage and a dance floor, and local musicians play free shows there. Ticketed events, such as a New Year's Eve dinner show, are 18+.
A little background
Before the PURE brand, the casino was known as Casino Edmonton. Its operator was renamed PURE Canadian Gaming in 2013. The casino has been renovated several times and expanded three times since it opened. Since December 2024, the operating company has been owned by Indigenous Gaming Partners, a partnership of five Mi'kmaw First Nations in Nova Scotia with Sonco Gaming.
It runs under Alberta's charitable gaming model, with a designated charity for each day of the year.
Food on site and nearby
- Late food inside: SNAX Pantry & Wok and Center Bar serve until 2 a.m. from Sunday to Wednesday, and until 3 a.m. from Thursday to Saturday. SNAX does sandwiches, wok dishes and pizza, and Center Bar has sports on the screens.
- ALTA Kitchen: the casino's comfort-food dining room, for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.
- Four Points by Sheraton Edmonton South: a hotel on the same road, at 7230 Argyll Road, with East 75 Restaurant and the Duke of Argyll Pub.
- Muttart Conservatory: beside the Muttart stop, four Valley Line stops north of Avonmore. It makes an easy daytime outing by train.
What visitors talk about
Food comes up often, mostly in a good way. Visitors mention the daily specials, such as a Friday steak-and-shrimp plate, plus the breakfast specials and the pizza. One visitor felt the food slipped after the renovation.
Servers, slot attendants and poker dealers are often praised by name. Complaints tend to be about management, security and house policy instead.
Temperature comes up both ways. One player found the poker room too hot, and another visitor suggested bringing a sweater. The renovation is generally seen as a step up in looks.
