Who makes this guide
Edmonton Casino Guide is an independent local guide to the eight casinos in and around Edmonton. It is not a casino, and nobody can place a bet here.

What the site does
The site answers a practical question: which casino can you get to right now? The planner on the home page shows which ones are open, whether their tables are running and how far each one is from your part of town.
Around it sit short guides to each casino. Other pages cover common plans, such as a late night, a first visit or the trip there and back.
We don't take bets, hold accounts or handle payments. Links to the casinos' official sites are not paid. The site earns money from one link marked Ad on the home page, and How we make money explains it.
The eight casinos

Each one has a short guide with its hours, the way there and what is nearby.
- Grand Villa Casino Edmonton, downtown in the ICE District
- PURE Casino Edmonton, on Argyll Road on the southeast side
- Century Casino & Hotel Edmonton, on Fort Road in the northeast
- PURE Casino Yellowhead, just off Yellowhead Trail in the northwest
- Starlight Casino Edmonton, at West Edmonton Mall
- Century Casino St. Albert, in the city of St. Albert
- River Cree Resort & Casino, at Enoch Cree Nation, just west of Edmonton
- Century Mile Racetrack & Casino, south of the city near the airport
Who writes it
Erin Calder writes and checks this guide. She lives in Edmonton, rides the LRT more often than she drives, and likes a night out planned before it starts.
The guide grew out of a common Edmonton question: which casino is still open, and are its tables running? The answer was spread across eight casino websites, each with its own way of listing hours. Here it sits in one planner, in Edmonton time.
Erin decides what goes on each page and answers for every fact on it. How we check our facts explains where those facts come from and when they were checked.
Photos of the casinos and the city are real photographs with free licences that allow commercial use. Each one carries its author's name. We don't take photos from casino websites or from other people's articles.
Some casinos have no freely licensed photo at all. Their guides may show the surrounding area instead. A generated picture never stands in for a real building.

Questions
Who checks the facts on this site?
Erin Calder checks each fact against its source before it goes on a page, and records the date. Hours change, so check a casino’s own site before a holiday visit.
Is this site run by a casino?
It's an independent local guide, not a casino. We don't take bets, hold accounts or process payments, and links to casinos' official sites are not paid.
